Georgia Steps onto the podium again!

Fresh from a medal haul at the Elite Road Nationals Georgia swapped her road bikes for track bikes and proved she is one of the best all rounder’s in the country!

Silver in The I.P, the points race and the Teams Pursuit during the 2013 NZ Elite Track championships.

She then had one last race before heading over to join her Be-Pink team mates in Italy, the Bev May Women’s Tour.

Georgia placed 3rd in the opening ITT and went onto to dominate the tough hilltop finish and move into the leader’s yellow jersey after stage 2.

Wearing yellow comes with responsibilities and Georgia was not shy to defend her lead and chase down any threats to the overall. Although there were some team combines not one person could gain time on her and she held the leaders jersey going into the final 4th stage. This last stage was a criterium run over 40 mins plus 3 laps; Georgia is NZ Criterium Champion and proved this by winning the criterium while defending her yellow Leaders jersey! Going on to Win her overall grade for the 3rd year. (2010 she was U19 and riding B Grade) She Also finished 3rd in the KOM.

Georgia heads to Italy next week to adjust to the cold! Her first race is at the end of February in Belgium. See race calendar here:> http://www.bepink.eu/?p=542&lang=en
